Hilton Grand Vacations ownership is valuable, but life circumstances change. We help HGVC owners navigate the resale process legally and profitably.
HGVC annual dues increase yearly. Combined with Club dues and exchange fees, the cost of ownership adds up. Many owners find selling is smarter than holding.
Life changes—retirement, health, family dynamics—can make annual HGVC trips difficult. Selling converts your Club Points or deeded week to cash for other priorities.
Hilton holds Right of First Refusal on resales. Will Hilton block your sale? Our pricing strategy navigates ROFR to ensure your sale closes.
Our licensed brokers understand the nuances of Hilton Grand Vacations resales—from Club Points to deeded weeks, from ROFR navigation to transfer documentation.
We analyze your home resort, points allotment, or deeded week against recent comparable sales and ROFR patterns.
We market to buyers specifically seeking your home resort. HGVC buyers value prime locations like Elara and Hawaiian Village.
We submit to Hilton's ROFR department and handle all waiver documentation. If Hilton exercises, you still get paid.
Title company escrow ensures safe transfer. We handle the Hilton-specific closing requirements and estoppel.
Hilton has two different "points" systems—Club Points and Honors points. Knowing which you own is critical for a successful resale.
This is what you're selling. Club Points are your timeshare ownership currency—an annual allotment used to book vacations at HGVC resorts.
What transfers: Annual points allotment, booking access, home resort priority (9-12 months). Buyers pay activation fees (~$609) to Hilton.
NOT part of your sale. Honors Points are hotel loyalty rewards earned through stays—completely separate from your timeshare ownership.
Important: Your accumulated Honors Points stay with you after the sale. They cannot be transferred to the buyer.
HGV Max is Hilton's premium membership tier with enhanced benefits: higher booking priority, enhanced exchange options, and exclusive perks. However, HGV Max benefits do NOT transfer on resale.
Buyers pay these Hilton-imposed fees when purchasing resale:
*Fees current as of 2024-2025 and subject to change by Hilton
Not sure which points system you have? We can help. During your free consultation, we'll review your deed and explain exactly what buyers will receive.

Answers to the most common questions about selling your HGVC ownership.
Selling Hilton Grand Vacations requires understanding Club Points vs. deeded weeks. Our 4-step process: 1) Free HGVC Analysis — We price based on home resort and points/week value. 2) Strategic Listing — Market to buyers seeking Las Vegas, Hawaii, or Orlando HGVC properties. 3) ROFR Navigation — Submit to Hilton and handle waiver documentation. 4) Licensed Closing — Title transfer with Hilton-specific requirements. Typical timeframe: 60-120 days.
Yes. HGVC Club Points are transferable on the resale market. However, HGV Max benefits do NOT transfer to resale buyers. What transfers: the annual Club Points allotment and booking access. What buyers don't get: HGV Max status, enhanced exchange benefits, or concierge services. Buyers must also pay Hilton's transfer fees. We price Club Points accordingly to ensure realistic buyer expectations.
Yes. Hilton Grand Vacations holds ROFR on most resales. Once you accept a buyer's offer, we submit the contract to Hilton's ROFR department. Hilton has approximately 30 days to either: Exercise ROFR — Hilton buys it at your agreed price (you still get paid). Waive ROFR — Your buyer proceeds. Our pricing strategy accounts for typical ROFR patterns. Premium resorts like Elara and Hawaiian Village see varying ROFR activity based on current demand.
Club Points: These are your timeshare ownership currency. Annual allotment (e.g., 5,000, 7,000 points) used to book at HGVC resorts. This is what you're selling.
Honors Points: These are hotel loyalty points earned by staying at Hilton properties. Personal to you, earned through stays, redeemable at 7,000+ Hilton hotels worldwide. NOT transferable and NOT part of your timeshare sale.
